Masoala Madagaskar 2023
During a trip to Madagascar in the summer of 2023, organised by Zurich Zoo, the island’s flora and fauna were marvelled at. The variety of different climate zones encourages life to adapt in inventive ways. From singing frogs and spiny trees to the adorable lemur species, this diversity takes on a form that is rarely seen to such an extent anywhere else.

Welgevonden Reserve South Africa
Following the trip to Madagascar, there was a further stay in a nature reserve in South Africa. Daily excursions were organised across the area, which covers just under 400 km². Despite the presence of two large prides of lions, there was only one adult male, who claimed the entire park as his territory and was therefore not at all easy to track down.
