The photographer’s aim is to showcase the extraordinary behaviours, structures and colours of a wide variety of organisms in nature and to provide insights that may spark people’s interest. In a world where many living creatures are treated with little respect, the aim is not merely the photograph itself.
Ever since childhood, he has had an interest in nature and photography. Upon starting at Kantonsschule Wettingen and completing his dissertation on a comparative study of the contraction behaviour of two species of jellyfish, his interest in biology took off. He is currently studying for a BSc in Biology at University of Basel.
Alongside his studies, he has taken part in field trips, such as the Masoala expedition to Madagascar organised by Zurich Zoo and carried out his own photography projects.
